How much to tip for hair/make-up trial?

How much to tip for hair/make-up trial?

I know there is a post for tipping for the actual wedding day but would this be the same for the trial? I am paying $65 for trial updo and $40 for make-up. Thanks in advance

I dont know either- i posted a while ago about the same thing but didnt get a response...so I'm keeping my ears open too. If i had to guess I woudl think it is a normal 20%? But a part of me thinks that is really expensive for a trial!

I just had my trial and I payed $40 for hair & $40 for makeup. I tipped her $20 bucks as well.

I think if you are happy with it you should tip them.

I really hope that I don't have to tip a lot because I feel that my hair trial is very expensive to begin with

I paid $40 for my trial (hair & makeup) and I tipped her $10.

My makeup trail with Denise from Angel Eyes should of been $25 but since I booked her on the spot my trail was free but I did give her a $10 tip.

I paid 40 for my makeup and 80 for my hair, which was a lot but i loved both of them and the work they did, i gave each 10

I've tipped generally like i would for a haircut - but never too much - its expensive doing these trials!! And if you love it that much you can thank them more by booking them :)

At my salon, we charge $180 for the updo, and 55 for the make up

But.. people usually, give 20% for tip..
so I would say $78 for Hair, and $48 for make-up


ETA: sorry if it's your trial, then I would do $10.. because.. I don't think they should even charge a lot for a trial.. JMO
