i just picked the invites i want, we r going to need approxiamately 225 invites, which will be like $2800 at least, is that reasonable or totally crazy?!

are you inviting 400 people or is 225 your guestlist....because then you only need like half of that

75 invites $330.....and i love them!!! I have looked for ones a little cheaper but i kept going back to my original ones

I personally would put the money toward something else that people would enjoy at the wedding... We're estimated to pay about $900 for 100 invites, can't wait to show FH this post, then he can get off my back for spending so much!

im spending 1000 for 125 invites (that doesnt invclude calligraphy, etc) i somehow got 159 bucks taken off too! ah.

if its in ur budget, i say go for it! u might wanna keep looking though, just in case. good luck!!!

I got 150 invites & they cost me almost 4 grand. This does not include hand written calligraphy & postage. Yes i went crazy & im so happy because they are gorgeous & totally original & all our own creation! People said they will never throw away my invite that its a work of art!

i thinkn its worth it, but only if you have it. dont forget about postage either. square invites/envelopes are an extra charge at the post office.
just remember, your invites set the tone for your wedding. if you want to splurge for over the top invites i say DO IT!!!!!!!!

We're spending $520 for 75, each additional invite is $4.23 I think.

I can't believe how much you are all SPENDING ON INVITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to 3 different places and got quotes for 100 invites with inner and outter envelopes, return address printed on the envelope, reception card, rsvp card with envelope. not one place charged me over $350 and everything was beautiful.

Don't forget- more than half of them are just going to end up in the trash after all is said and done.

i think its alot and i personally wouldnt do it, but if this is the thing you want to spurlge on and you have the extra to do so, then go for it!

yeah i agree. its def a lot. we are spending $800 on 100 invites.

I know but that was our decision & its what we wanted. I wouldnt change it for the world! Im also very fickle about paper quality & printing & calligraphy etc. Since the invite sets the tone for the wedding i felt like this was something that was very important & fh was totally into it too. I LOVE MY INVITES! Uhh Gorgeous.

I'm not sure, we havent looked yet (I know I need to get moving, but i waited 3 months on youknowwho's list and they were 'eh').

I think it totally depends on the kind of wedding you are having and where your priorities are. If they are beautiful and you shop around to make sure that they arent just trying to swindle you, then i say go for it!!

(I say swindle only bc a few vendors quoted me 2 or 3 grand what they quoted other people)
