ETA: La Famiglia in Plainview. FILs said it had to be someplace close to the hotel so we basically drove down Old Country Road until we found a restaurant where we iiked the food.

yeah thats around the range for quotes we are getting......wasn't sure if open bar is necessary or just beer, wine soda.....I guess thats enough and if they want other mixed drinks, they can pay....

Yeah, that's the way we did it at the eparty too, but we ran a tab for the mixed drinks and just paid for it at the end. We'll probably do the same for the RD.

decisions decisionnnnnnnns! oh does yours have a private room? Have the places don't have private rooms and was wondering if its totally necessary or just have them block off a bunch of tables in the main dining room?

Our RD is about $43 pp, doesn't include any beer, wine or drinks. FMIL is running a bar tab, which is quite generous of her considering how the bridal party drinks.
We have a private room.

i think it's $43 pp and that includes open bar. i think beer and wine is fine, but we wanted liquor for the bridal party who will be giving speeches. i know i always appreciate that when i give a speech
eta: we have the entire restaurant at Grimaldi's in Garden City.

about $25 with 1 alcoholic drink (any kind) per person. since it was a wednesday night, and lots of the older people dont drink, i think the drinks wound up evening out. i know i had 2. not sure how much other ppl had, but we never had to pay additional, so it either worked out or the staff made it work out
place - tai show hibachi. it was awesome! TONSSS of really yummy food and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves since we booked on a wednesday night (they wouldnt have given us the deal on a friday)

yeah, we'll have a private room, but with some restaurants, they have a separate area that can be blocked off if necessary. Like at my shower, we had the whole downstairs of the restaurant and regular patrons had to walk upstairs to eat. Our area was past the stairwell tho and on the opposite side, so we were never interrupted.

about $32 per person which includes open bar and it's a buffet BUT, we're having the RD at the actual hall we're getting married at since that is where the rehearsal is.

We paid $30pp included sangria and soda, we ran a tab for the beer and mixed drinks, it was cheaper this way. We didn't have a private room it was blocked off....since ours was on a Wednesday (?) it wasn't too busy...but if yours is on a Friday then I would try to find a private room otherwise restaurants aren't too busy during the week if you like a place that doesn't have a private room.
