I'm just curious... the particular ring that i would like for my wedding band is a little over $3,000. Is that a lot or average?

about 1400 for mine.
990 for his--he was all set to order one for 1500 then he found this one for 990 and even liked it better!!!

my e-ring was $3,000 or so. and my band was around $650. And the jewler had a 40 %off sale His band was $500.

We ordered ours yesterday . Mine is 3mm solid platinum, his is 7 1/2 mm white gold with two different finishes (beveled edges with rough center). Together they are less than $1000.

Hi...All.
Ok for starters our jeweler is a very good friend who owns a store in NYC. He did a great job for my FI when it was my E-ring. And he was very generous with me as a wedding gift.
FI's cost $500. Mine was $1500 it's white gold 1.53 ct (nine .17 diamonds in channel setting).
I couldn't believe he gave us such a price and ring. He is wonderful!!!
Good Luck! I guess it depends what you are getting for the 3K.

Mine was $1400 it is 11 diamonds but they are little in a channel setting. I have a pretty big e-ring so I wanted something small. It is set in platnum. FHs was about $400 & it is a simple white gold band but I am not sure b/c it is a good friend of ours too and we haven't paid the final bill.

I got ours at a huge discount, so they were less than half the retail. But if not, they would have been about $3500 for both. We paid under $1500 for both.

a little over $2K, but I've seen a Scott Kay version of it (not even as good as mine) for $4500. My jewelr REALLY hooked us up!!

together, ours were $800 - and we thought that was reasonable. We really wanted to stick below 1K and we found rings we loved and in our budget. Score!!
