After a grueling fight with my conscience the evil part of me won and yesterday i went to see Thomas Knoell and bought the 'Small Dreams chandelier' earrings that match my tiara! I saw the earrings about 3 weeks ago when i went in to pick up my tiara and i couldn't stop thinking about them. The only reason i made it 3 weeks was because i had already bought a pair of earrings that i was set on wearing on the day of! But...i couldn't resist. I am so overbudget on my jewelry/accessories part of the wedding fund! Thomas did give me 10% off on the earrings though....
I just realized that on my wedding day, my jewelry and accessories alone will be worth $1800. This includes my headpiece/tiara, earrings, bracelet, and shoes. I have yet to purchase my veil! With everything that will be on me that day (including all of the above plus undergarments, dress, makeup, hairstyle, etc.) that will be alot of $$$$~! What is your 'net worth' on your big day???
dress: $875 including alterations (gotta love Phyllis!!) shoes- around $55 (I plan on getting the 'loveknot') rings- around 8K (but I don't know how much the wedding band will be yet veil- should be around $85-100 through Barron's tiara- ?? my guess is $100 hair- $120 make up- $100 necklace/earrings: ???
so far: $9350 but technically w/o the e-ring- $1350- so I guess its not that bad!! Especially since FH paid for the e-ring already

got most of my stuff at a big discount (or on ebay!)
BUT, tack on the jewelry (all real), then you can tack on another '0' to that total
(All I have to say is thank you to FH, mom, and my Oma, whose prized ring I've inherited!)

Wow! And my FH thought I was a shopaholic! I still have a lot to get, but so far:
Dress, veil, tiara, and bag: $800 (not including alterations) Shoes and Ballet Slippers: $83 Rings: $5,500 Garter: $16

My dress: $800 veil: About $150-160 (getting a two tier blusher/cathedral custom made) just bought a slip for about $35 $70 for shoes Oops forgot jewelry - hmmm probably about $120 or so oh duh! Forgot wedding band- I have no idea $300-500 maybe? (thank goodness I'm not paying for THAT haha) Lord only knows about alterations! Ugh I shoulda ordered with Phyllis! I woulda got my dress for $600 and spent WAY less on alterations!
Depending on alterations, I'm gonna guess around $1500. Which I guess isn't so bad...but it coulda been better!!!

I'm not sure what I'm wearing jewelry-wise, yet. I think I'm going to borrow some pearls from my mom or sister for a necklace, and then this week my boss suddenly became really het on lending me some jewelry. She has NICE jewelry, so I feel a little odd about it, but she really seems to want to do it. So we'll see.
Tiara: $110 Shoes: $200 Veil--haven't bought one yet, but it will be inexpensive. Jewelry: borrowed, most likely! Also my engagement ring and my spectacular pearl and diamond ring that was my grandmother's for my right hand. Undergarments:? Dunno haven't bought them yet. saw a gorgeous bustier I'll probably get, and I have my eye on some amazing silk stockings. Yeah, real silk stockings--it's my wedding day!
