If you are coloring your hair the same color over and over again, you can do it as often as you need to. I think the problem arises when you switch colors - you don't want to do that too frequently or there might be reactions. Also,I was told that the formulas bought in stores for use at home are much more harsh on your hair than the formulas used in salons. Something to consider.

when i get the whim. but going from brown to blonde is a delicate process so be careful there. also, the last time i colored my hair, i had an itchy scalp and dandruff for a couple of days.

I do it about every 4-6 weeks, depending on how bad my gray roots look!!
