How often do you call your reception hall?

How often do you call your reception hall?

I seem to be averaging once every two weeks.

It is usually random questions I ask. They probably think I am being a pest.

What questions do you find yourselves asking?

Let's see, what have I asked, well everytime I come on this site I get so many ideas that I call them to see if they can execute them, ie. Table names, places for chaircovers, upgrading centerpieces, vegetarian platters, whenever things come to mind.

what did they tell you about upgrading centerpieces? I am not using the ones that they give us, instead I'll use them in my cocktail hour or ask them to give me more of something else.edited to say they already gave me extras but I am sure I can get more huh?

As far as upgrading centerpieces here goes:

If you use their house florist 'Wicks' and spend at least $400 with them getting your personal flowers. you can have upgraded white roses free.
I saw these as they were setting up for a wedding and they were just ok, however if you donot get your flowers from them you can ask them how much it would cost to upgrade each centerpiece. they said they have upgrade packages starting at $20 per table. In the next few months I am going to in for a consultation and see what they have to offer.

I have a florist. Maybe Linda can substitute those flowers for something else

Sorry to be nosey. I went to a wedding at Coral House this past summer. THe white rose centerpieces were pretty sad, so be carefull. You could have made them yourselves and would have been less expensive and prettier.

The bride had her wedding in one of the smaller rooms which is very pretty, but hey ran out of liquor some make sure you speak to them about that, if serving liquor.

Sorry to be a nosey body. Just a little information you may find useull.

I work for the company where Coral House & every other hall (even yours) gets their liquor from so I doubt that will happen!

Yes, i agree with JennBaby, they could not possibly run out of Alcohol. My thoughts are that possibly the bride and groom bought their own liquor in thus causing them to run out.

As far as flowers I will not be getting those roses, I saw them and I was not impressed.

Thats fine if you work for the distributing compnay. But they ran out of alcohol and no the brida and groom did not bring their own..

Re: How often do you call your reception hall?

I find it hard to believe that any wedding hall could run out of liquor, especially because I see the many thousands of dollars in checks I receive when these halls pay their bills, and I have never heard of this before. I even see the many orders these wedding halls give us and they are always overstocked if anything!
I can see running out of a certain brand; Jack Daniels etc, but not liquor completely. I don't think so!

I've only called my caterers once and that was to try and work out a deal for dinnerware & flatware! Unfortunately they had just purchased it! Oh well!!!!

I have called only once since I booked. I wanted to know about room capacity. Haven't called since. Should I be???

Re: How often do you call your reception hall?

I guess I am a worry wort by nature. It is fine if you are not calling that often.

When I went for the initial booking and meeting, I had a bunch of questions to ask, but afterwards things kept coming up that I forgot to ask. I think I won't have to call for a while now.

I've only spoken to them when we originally went in to book our date and give our deposit and then about a month ago when we went to give them our second payment

Re: How often do you call your reception hall?

I have not called my hall at all

I'll start making a list of Q and probably ask them when we pay the next installment
Most of the stuff is not going to make me change my mind, it will just help me prepare everything
