How often do you shampoo/condition your hair--with poll

I read in Marie Claire that to limit shampooing to 3 times a week to prevent dryness. I shampoo and condition daily, but I notice in the winters my hair gets so dry. So I'm just wondering what everyone else does. Sorry, if my poll doesn't include you. If not, then please just post what you do. Thanks!

I do both daily and I don't think I have too much problem with dryness. Once in a while I will skip the shampoo - usually if I took a shower the night before, but then I feel like my hair is more weighed down.

Last time I saw her, my SIL told me she hadn't shampoed her hair in like 2 weeks But it looked great! She only told me b/c I mentioned how good her hair looked. She said she just used conditioner (I guess like shampoo.)

I had a friend who swore her roomate in college only used liquid fabric softner ( yes like Downy) on her hair, as a shampoo.!
I never met her, but her hair looked normal in photos.

My hair tends to get oily which REALLY shows cause I am a blond so I shampoo daily. I condition the bottoms daily - it helps me get the brush through it!

my hair is dry. it doens't get greay easily at all, so I wash my hair a few times a week. If I did it everyday it would be SOO dry and frizzy

I wash and condition every other day, or every 3 days. It's better for curly hair!

I have curly hair so it gets dry very easily. I do not wash my hair daily nor do I shampoo regularly. I shampoo about once per week and I wash every other day or every 2 days WITH the conditioner as my 'shampoo'.

Curly hair here too!

Shampoo once or twice a week.
Conditioner...EVERY DAY!!!

When I wear my hair curly I wash it everyday. When it is straight I let it go for a couple of days.

I wash almost everyday but there are days that I don't have to wash everyday. My hair actually looks better when it is a day dirty. That is without any gunk in it! I condition maybe 3 x's a week.

i shampoo daily, but hardly ever use conditioner. my hair's very fine and thin so i never have the need to use conditioner.
