How often do you shampoo/condition your hair--with poll

I read in Marie Claire that to limit shampooing to 3 times a week to prevent dryness. I shampoo and condition daily, but I notice in the winters my hair gets so dry. So I'm just wondering what everyone else does. Sorry, if my poll doesn't include you. If not, then please just post what you do. Thanks!

If I do not wash my hair every day it looks like a grease pit. When I was younger I used to have to wash it 2 to 3 times a day for it to look normal. But on the bright side, I am 28 and not grey and have thick and healthy hair.

I shampoo once a day at lest with a shampoo that has conditioner in it.

I have oily hair so I shampoo once a day and condition the ends only...Sometimes the ends get dry and some fly aways but I think it looks better than a greasy mess!

I shampoo daily but only have to condition is a few times a week

My hair is so fine its sooo easy to brush through. If not I just spray a bit of Pantene leave in on the ends and that works.

Me too. Plus in the summer I'll let it air dry, so I can go 3 days without shampoo if I just condition.

I shampoo my hair every other day (though my hair dresser says I should go every 2 days - which I think is way too long). I condition my hair every other shampoo. I have thick, healthy hair. So far, so good.

I don't condition anymore. I was every day except one day on the weekend, and one day during the week.

I feel greasy and gross if I don't wash my hair everyday! So my answer... daily!

I have oily hair also, and there is no way I could skip a day without washing it. Every other day I wash it twice actually--once doesn't seem to do the trick.

I don't condition every day though--that only makes it lanker.

Has anyone noticed there don't seem to be shampoos for oily hair anymore? There used to be some.

I'll try washing every other day for the winter and see if that makes a difference.

I usually shampoo and conditioner daily but no matter what if I don't conditioner, I can't run a comb through my hair so I need to condition every day or it's a bunch of knots!!
