thanks girls...i was just curious, i am starting to think we will NEVER be able to buy...(just because of our debt....i mean it isnt like we went crazy and went shopping, but last year i had to spend a lot of money on some dental issues and went approx 9k over my insurance cap!!)
BUT we are only 24....

UGH!!! You are making me feel like I am so old and I STILL have to rent!!! I am 33 and hubby is 36, and we live in Suffolk County Long Island, I don't think we will ever be able to afford a house here!!!

I've got a month left in my 20's, so I'll probably be 30 before we close. I voted in the 28-30 grouping

I bought my co-op when I was 29... just sold it, closing at the end of the month. I hope DH and I can buy a house or condo/townhouse w/in the next year. I'm 34 and he's 30....
It took me a long time to get out of 'debt'. Thank GOD for the co-op! 2 years in, I took out a Home Equity loan to pay off all my credit cards. I only have a little bit left on it, and will fully pay off that when the sale is final. So, DH and I will be debt free- hang in there, it can be done!!!!!!
