How old is too old...

How old is too old...

for ring bearer? I have a half brother who will just have turned 13 when I get married. Is that too old? I would like to incorporate him into the wedding but I am not sure how. Anything else I can do besides groomsman?

yea we have junior bridesmaids, why not a junior groomsman. I would think he would feel a little funny being the ring bearer....usually for much younger guy

IMHO that is too old for a ring bearer. I always think ring bearer and flower girls are comparable...and you prob wouldnt have a 13 yr old flower girl. If you want to incorporate him in the ceremony maybe have him hand out programs?

The little man in my wedding is going to be 10 and we were originally thinking RB but we have been thinking it might be too old now too.

My FH was a junior GM at his sisters wedding when he was 10 years old.

i think the RB cut off is like 10 years old. i'd make him a junior groomsman, UNLESS everyone else in your BP is like 30 years older than him, it's fine.

but if you have BMs that are like 20 years old, then 13 is too old for RB IMO

Thanks ladies - I figured he was too old. It's just that all of the other people in the bridal party will be in their mid to late 30's and I think it will just be weird to have him as a JR groomsman. I'll figure it out I guess.

why would it be weird... our JR GM was 14... all other GM's were in their 30's

Honestly..I say do whatever you want. Who made these rules anyway? lol. Its ur wedding, do what you want. Ppl gave us crap bc our FG & FB are 10, but they both mean alot to us and thats who we wanted. So I say do whatever makes you guys happy, make the wedding your own you don't have to live by the book!
