Do you got o services every week? Just on major holidays? Do you observe shabbat?
I'm sort of increasingly religious as far as it comes to services. I've been defintie;y going to mass on holidays and trying to go on sundays. I am trying to get FH to come with me to Jewish services, but for some reason he's not that interested, and I don't feel comfortable going alone.
I don't consider myself very religious though. I don't follow most of the rules, and I disagree with the catholic church on a lot of its teachings and approaches.
Ok, to clarify..I'm catholic, but I am ALWAYS reading about judaism, and took classes in college and I really like going to services..and although I'm not actually jewish, I consider myself to be at least partially jewish, if that's possible, in that I try to study the teachings and keep the holidays and go to services on occasion. Neither of us have EVER observed shabbat though, and I'm not sure if we ever will.
Also, i think part of what burned FH out with going to services was that we'd spend a good part of our weekend going to services since we go to church and temple

Re: How religious are you?
I am a personal religious person, I attend mass weekly, go to confession, and pray, but I do not go out preaching to people. That drives me crazy, I believe that religion is something private. Not an advertising campaign

We are not religious at all. Never went to church in the 5 years we've known each other. I did not know he was catholic until we got engaged and his grandmother asked if the ceremony would be lutheran (an incredibly random question since she is lutheran but neither DH or I are, so I am not sure if she knows he is catholic...his two cousins are jewish and she thinks they are lutheran too).

Re: How religious are you?
I do not generally go to shul on Shabbat, nor do I observe Shabbat, but I do keep a Kosher home. I go to shul on most holidays. I actually love Friday night services, but since we moved to Queens, we haven't found a shul near us that has services after Brad gets home from work, and we're awful at getting up to go on a Saturday morning. DH does not cook or do laundry on shabbat - things that he considers work. He plays video games and watches TV though..it's just the way he was brought up.
My level of observance has wavered over the years. In college, I went to the Chabad house (very religous, but very open to anyone, Jewish or not, coming for Shabbat) for Friday night services and dinner almost every Friday night. A large part of it was social for me, as most of my college friends are orthodox. I really miss going to shul now. We have friends in our building from college who are orthodox, and we can go with them if we want, but if I'm getting up and going on a Saturday morning, i want to be able to sit with my husband!
I keep more Kosher than my parents, as I gave up pork and shellfish over the years. I grew up in a mostly Kosher home, but keep mine a little stricter, partly due to my choice, and largely due to DH's level of observance. He doesn't eat non Kosher meat, I do. He waits 3 hours between meat and dairy, I'm lucky if I wait half an hour. Sometimes when we're out, I don't wait at all.
Sorry this was so long!

your question was fine, i hate when people want to convert me or sell me on their 'better' religion. I lived in the South many years as a lonely Catholic constantly hearing about how I need to be saved

I go to church about once a month. Sundays are my only day off and I like to sleep in sometimes! Poor excuse, I know......

They're shorter, and I think they're prettier. The first part of the service, Kabbalat Shabbat, which is the welcoming of the Sabbath, has a lot of beautiful melodies.

Doug never really gets home on time.. But I have a friend who is actually going to go to rabbinical school and she runs the youth group at the temple we go to, so maybe I can get her to come with me

That's kinda why I don't go to church. When I went to a Catholic church I would go Saturday evening or Sunday at 12 ( in college we even had Sunday night Mass) but Epsicopal churches usually just have 8 am & 10 am Sunday comunion. I feel awful saying it, but it just doesn't fit in to my schedule! We didn't even go on Easter .

Re: How religious are you?
Dh and I go to mass every Sunday and I pray every night before I go to bed. It calms me and I feel that going to mass helps me forget about all the crap I think is so important for one hour out of the week.
However, I do not believe in preaching my beliefs on others and I hate when people do it to me.

Re: How religious are you?
I was not raised in any particular religion. We did not attend church, but I was allowed to go with friends and their families. When I reached my teen years and early adulthood I would go to different houses of worship and studied different aspects of the various religions. After several years of wandering I decided that I was agnostic. I think that organized religion for some people is a supportive enviorment and provides an inner strength and answer. I found it to be constricting and at times hypocritical.
So, to answer your question not religious at all really.

Re: How religious are you?
I used to be very religious...I was in my church youth group, childrens choir, folk group, in HS i volunteered as a religious ed. teacher, church every sunday.....went to a catholic college (not because it was catholic ) and all of a sudden I became to busy which is sad to say and it kind of slowed down....and now we barely go...we went on easter and we went on christmas,
i would like to go more often... although i do not think church is the only thing that makes me or doesnt make me religious...I do pray almost every night and I feel like I do have god on my side... Def. agree about not preaching, i dont like when it is dont to me and i wouldnt do it to others

Re: How religious are you?
We go to Church every weekend and holidays. It's kind of our time to be alone and we love going together. I don't even know how many of my friends know we go, so I wouldn't say I'm very religious, but in my own way I guess I am...if that makes sense?

Re: How religious are you?
How religious am I? Well what should I used to determine that? How many times I go to church? How many times I pray? How much money I donate to my house of worship? I cant answer this without knowing what to base it on.
