I just went to a florist today.. not a vendor from this board but a popular florist in queens.. anyway I walked in and the guy was on the phone.. left me waiting for about 15 min.. no big deal... then finally comes over to me and asks what the date of the wedding is.. when I tell him feb next year hes like well you have plenty of time!! I said I know but I want to get an idea of prices.... he just started giving me general prices without asking what flowers I wanted or anything! then another lady came in.. not for a wedding but for a vase and some flowers for her house... and he walks away!!!!! then goes oh did you need anything else? I said ( I dont even know why I bothered) do you have something where you can write out the prices so I can show my FI when I get home. - GET THIS.. he says sure.. HANDS Me A PIECE OF PAPER AND A PEN AND WALKS AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF????
ETA- The only reason I was giving this place a chance b/c FH thought it would be cute since it was the first place he ever got my flowers from.. he used to spend over $100 on a bo-k EVERY SINGLE MONTH for the first year we were dating!

That is very rude and he obviously does not want your business. I would have left the paper on the table and just walked out. Sorry you went through that.

Dont feel bad.. the first time I went to look at BM dresses.. I still had a long time to go but its fun to go try stuff on get ideas... anyway the lady in the store gave me such a dirty look when I told her when the wedding was... plus I look young so she probably thought I was lying or something.. and NO ONE helped us.. they ignored us the whole time!!!! Jerks!!! I got the same attitude from alot of photographers... I was engaged for 2 years and the first year I didnt even get anything done but the hall b/c of this attitude.
Dont even waste your time ...i figure if a place is not willing to give you personal attention when your looking ...they wont give it to you when you have booked them...ANd you can bet that if they are getting my money they better act like they appreciate it... go elsewhere youll be happier

I'd call up that place tomorrow and ask to speak to a manager... tell the manager the situation and add the part of FI buying bouquets for you there and then end the conversation with..... and that's why you will not be getting my business.
