Mine was 4 months after I thought that was a little long after being engaged. But it was a lot of planning and the holidays were around so I wanted to wait a little while.

We had ours 5 1/2 months after we got engaged.
We might have had it sooner, but at first I didn't want to have one ...

i have been engaged over 3 years and we are having it in june. I thught it would be silly to have it too early we knew we werent getting married till this year or next ( now we know its next year). so i guess you can have it whenever! lol

weve been engaged for over a year now and will be married next may. My mom is trying to see if we can pull one off (we are soooooo poor ) at the end of this may....it prob wont happen bc the wedding bills are piling up, but that wo0uld be 14 mons after the engagement
we are having ours at eisenhower park and it only cost us $150 with food and beer its gonna be like $250-$300. Not bad!

We got engaged on March 16th 2007. Our engagement party is June 2, 2007. It's your time, do whatever you want to do. As long as you and your FH are happy don't let anyone tell you different!

I got engaged in July and had the e party in September...I do not think there are any 'rules'

I had mine two months after I got engaged, about 17 months before the wedding...but if you are getting married in 2010, you have plenty of time.

we got engageed in August of 2005, and had our in early July of 2006. And still had over a year to go the wedding. we waited mainly because of our long engagement and the the fact I started a masters program right after we got engaged so I was a little stressed and we are glad we waited -- we really got to enjoy our e-party
