How soon after the wedding do you want kids?

We want to start having kids within a year of our wedding. But if we get pregnant sooner we'll definitely be happy!

A house comes first for us so depending on how soon we get that, the baby will be soon after (hopefully)!

i really have a feeling that it might be sooner than expected.... lol considerin we've been tryin to be careful for many yrs, i know once we're married we're gonna get careless..

Not for at least 5-7 years. I'm going to get my PhD and I need to get through my classwork before I can think about having kids. I'm not waking up for 3am feedings when I have a final or a paper due the next day.

Plus I'm only 23, and for me that's too young to have kids. I haven't really had a chance yet to go out and live my life without having to constantly be treated like a kid myself. I'd like to have a few years of freedom with FH before we can't be selfish anymore. And I know he feels the same way too.

I don't even know if I want kids, but I guess I'll have to decide sooner than later since I'll be 30 when I get married

we have one already, she'll be turning 5 a month after the wedding
ideally id like to wait until shes 7-8....so 3 years after the wedding

ill be 24, he'll be 25...so we're thinkin before we're 30...so like 3-4yrs. we def wanna enjoy living together and just being married before we have lil ones running around, not to mention we've decided we wanna be able to travel a lil after we get married

I would love to have a baby right away but I am going to TRY to wait a year or two after the wedding....I hope I can hold out that long but I doubt I will be able too!

I know an old couple who also decided not to have children....they have a wonderful life! LOL. I tell them they are my rolemodel. They travel EVERYWHERE, it's almost like they are forever young. I tried bringing this up to FH, and he immediately shot it down.
So I guess I'm stuck using these childbearing hips of mine one day. Ideally we would like to conceive in August 2010, this way our baby could be born end of April, beg. of May (I really want a Taurus baby). I am so weird. Hopefully I will have twins, that way I never have to get pregnant again.

we dont have a set time frame but we definitly want to make sure we have a house, and are settled in with good jobs before even thinking about kids. we would also really like to travel A LOT before having kids. so probably 5-6 years after the wedding
