how soon did u look for favors?

our 'welcoming' ceremony- Christening/baby naming( Jewish) ceremony is on 4/6.

Put in the mail TODAY about 75 invites..think about 40 may come...
was hoping to hold off on definitive purchaes until I have a more definite head count.

What type of favor?
Candy wrappers for everyone?
votives wrapped in pink?
chocolate cigars- wrapped in pink- with labels attached with baby name and date of celebration? (MIL suggestion)

Dont want to hand out dust collectors...
