How Soon Is Too Soon????

How soon is too soon to start dress shopping?? I want to do it ASAP but am afraid that its too early to do so. I wish my wedding was sooner!!!!! I wanna plan and do and organize but i think its too far away to start doing all the fun little things.

I just can't wait!

I am not dress shopping till like August...I know I will find someting that I end up liking more once I've bought a dress, if I start shopping now. Plus I want to lose more weight.

I know I' like you I wan't to start right away but I wan't to loose some weight first. I'm thinking about 1 yr before. Its so exciting!!!

that's up to you- many have gotten their dresses already or at the least startedlooking. Once my crazy schedule calms down I will start but won't make any final decisions till end of summer or so (still more than year before my wedding)

We got engaged last april (it will be a year on Monday!) and I got my dress over the summer. I know it seemed early but i knew it was the one so i ordered it!

I don't think it's too early to look. It gives you more time to make sure you find the right dress for you. For girls that plan on losing weight your body build will still be the same. If you have broad shoulders or wide hips your body will always be like that so looking will give an idea for the style of dress that flatters your body type.

i started looking in a small bridal shop here and at davids bridal.....

if i decide to go with the bridal shop she gives a 7-8 month lead time on the dresses so i have to get in there i think a year before to figure out what i want.

the one really good thing about the little shop is that she orderes the dresses to your measurements rather than just a size.... this way there arent many alterations that need to be made

i wanted to wait until a year before to start, but my mom was pressuring me so i started last month and found my dress!!!!!! the store from which i bought it will hold it until i'm ready to pick it up, and that was one of my biggest worries about buying a dress too early (storing it safely until the wedding)

I got my dress last month so I did it pretty early and I found the perfect one so I'm happy

I started looking over a year in advance. I didn't start looking seriously until a month before the year mark. I put a deposit on my dress in february though. I think about a year in advance is good. Some consultants will tell you its too early and that you might change your mind so keep that in mind.

Next month will be the year mark (omg!) and I started to look already. I figure by then, I'll have picked out my dress. There's no harm in looking at dresses now if you want. This way you can get a feel for which styles you like better.

I have to say the more i went dress shopping the more i was able to narrow down what i wanted. I went about 8 times
