I'm trying to decide when I should put my invitations in the mail. Our wedding isn't until 9/16 but the RSVP date is for 8/18. Hopefully that will give me enough time to chase down the non responsive guests. Anyway, I was thinking of mailing them out around the week of 6/18. That would give guests 2 months to reply. Is that too much time or should I wait a week or 2 to mail them out?
Our wedding is on October 5, and we're planning on sending out our invites around the last week of July, with RSVP of Sept 4..so that gives my guests about a month to respond and some time for me to hunt the non responders. I think it depends if you have a lot of OOT guests then you might want to give some extra time for that, it's supposed to be 6-8 weeks before the wedding, but it's really up to you...Maybe wait another week? HTH!
I think 2 - 3 months is the proper amount of time for RSVPs. We are sending ours out the end of July (next year) for our October 13 wedding.
Im getting married 09/02 and i mailed them out already...
My wedding is 3/1/13 and I plan on sending them out the week after Thanksgiving. That will give my guests 7 weeks to respond and me 6 weeks to track down those who didnt respond. I'm giving a little extra time, because people tend to get overwhelmed and forgetful around the holidays.

I think that seem is a good amount of time. I plan on giving my quest 8 weeks between mailing then out and when RSVP's are due.
I am getting married 9/7 and the rsvp date is 8/1 and we are mailing out the invites on friday the 6/8
Thank you all for your advice. I think I'll be sending them out the 2nd week of June. I don't know if that just made me excited or nervous. Haha
