Just started planning my wedding. How many months prior should I begin registering?
I know alot of products go in and out of season and I dont want to register too early and find out that when my wedding rolls around; half the gifts are no longer available or out of stock.
Those that are registered,how many months prior did you register?

Hello and welcome!
I am getting married this October and I have been registered since last August. Not everything though. They say you should hold off 6 months before for your linens and stuff like that. Other than that, I've gotten very FEW discontinued notices from Fortunoff!

Welcome! I don't think it is ever really too soon to start to register. I am getting married next May and will start to register on Sunday. Some things you should wait for like linens and things that will have new styles and selections in a few months.

I don't think it is too soon to register. When your family finds out you are engaged they may want to send you something -or if you have an engagement party your family and friends will have an idea of what you want or need. Otherwise you may find yourself with 10 blenders. We were told to hold off on linens and towels because they discontinue them frequently. But you could certainly register for your formal china, crystal, flatware, and items for everyday needs.
