I am lookin into this pair of shoes and it says the heels are 2 3/4 inches high- yet they look shorter in the picture. I am so short and don't want to look 'stumpy' in pictures if my heels are too low (I am 4'11).
ALSO
Do you think strappy sandal wedding shoes are equally as elegant as closed toe or do you think one is mor elegant than the other?

mine are 3 in - i'm short too! i don't have a preference to which is more elegant - i think it's more of what goes better with your dress and what you are more comfortable in - you're going to be wearing them for hours!

I am looking at 3 inch heels. Strappy also. Not all are elegant looking compared to the closed toe shoes but quite a few are.

mine are 3.75 inches. either that or 3.5... i forget. they have a tiny platform up front .. im so short. im used to wearing big shoes though

I haven't gotten mine yet, but I am looking in the 2 - 2 1/2 range. I'm short too - 5'1', but i don't care - I want to be comfy. There is no way I could last in 3' heels!! I love the look of them though.

mine are FLAT ballet slippers. i dont want to be taller than FH and i just loved the ideas of ballet slippers for some reason they make me feel more like a princess

Mine are 1 1/2 inches closed toe in front with straps around back...kind of the best of both worlds. I just didn't want my feet to be cold..and with April, weather can go either way.
The height had less do to about me being taller or 'shorter' (I'm 5'6' he is 6'1') than FH but moreso about being able to walk without tripping over myself.

I am 5'1'...got 2 1/2' heels, and ballet slippers incase they hurt my feet. FH is 6', but I don't really mind if I look short- it's who I am.

Mine are three inches. I am so used to wearing heels on a daily basis though, so it's normal for me. I feel strange if I wear sneakers or anything flat.

The ones I tried on with my dress at Wedding Salon were 2 1/4' which surprised me because they didn't look that high and I didn't think I could wear heels that high (I was recovering from knee and ankle surgery). So I think i might go with that height or a little higher. I'm 5'4' and FH is 6' so I'm not concerned about dwarfing him

me too! I originally bought shoes with heels and I tried wearing them around the house and I couldn't stand it. Heels make me feel miserable, unless they're thick chunky heels. I want to be comfortable all day!
