i use toothpaste too-it works great!! I clean my ring once a week-and bear in mind that my ring is my grandma's and is over 50 years old and it STILL looks brand new

My mom did that for YEARS and it does really work!! Although it freaks my FH out when I do it for some reason so I try to stick to the regular cleaner, lol.

i bought a cleaner in macys that works AWESOME! its in a blue container and you get it at the jewlery counter. if you use it i wouldnt leave your ring in it for longer than 3 minutes
