how to deal with surprise bridal shower? sorry long

There are only about 13 weekends between now and my wedding. I know there is going to be a bridal shower but I don't know when, it is supposed to be a surprise (my sister accidentially told me, but then she remembered I wasn't supposed to know so she didn't tell me when).

Only I am wondering what to do if the shower is planned for a time I sort of can't go.... I have b-pics, e-pics, a minor surgery, work conflicts, etc. I sort of have the horrible feeling that my shower is being planned for a weekend that I already have a personal conflict. Then my mom told me she is coming 'into town' the weekend of my surgery which also happens to be FH's bachelor party out of town, which of course would be a great time to do it EXCEPT for the fact that my surgery requires me to not eat or drink for many hours before and then I am supposed to be wiped out from the surgery afterwards. I would be really upset if my shower were planned for that weekend because I will probably be feeling ill and wouldn't want to go anywhere.

I guess I would just take it one day at a time. If it is a surprise you really can't do much about it, it just stinks you may be out of comission for it...

But, I am sure that your friends and fiance are in on it and know when to do it...have you brought that up to them?

i think you need to make sure that everyone knows the circumstances of the events you have planned... and make sure they keep FH well informed!!!!!!!!!!! that is the most important thing i think, because he will be able to keep them up to date. i hope it works out!!!
