How to give away centerpieces, need ideas

We are drawing a blank on how to give away centerpieces at the wedding. I'll take any ideas, no matter how crazy. Remember, we're getting married on April Fools Day, so we're not that formal with etiquette.

YOUR DJ CAN GIVE YOU IDEAS. THE LAST WEDDING I WAS AT THEY PASSED A SPOON AROUND THE TABLE WHILE MUSIC PLAYED. WHEN THE MUSIC STOPPED WHOEVER WAS HOLDING THE SPOON GOT THE CP.

Actually, I went to a wedding who as people left the wedding, attendents were taking the centerpeices and making bo ks out of them and giving them to all the ladys as they left. I thought it was the best idea ever!!!

We are having the MC select couples/people at the end of the night based on how much/how well/how goofy, etc they danced during the night . Kind of a dance off but not exactly like head to head match up type thing. I think at some point in the reception, we will have him let people know there is a 'competition'.

We'll rig it so that his mom and mine win one though.

Our DOC will go around before the reception starts and tape something to the bottom of a chair on each table. Whoever is in that seat (or to the right of them - evil eh?) will get the CP.

I went to a party once where the person's who's birthday it was closest to at the table got to take home the cp.

This is what they did at the last wedding I went to: The DJ asked one person at each table to take out a $1 bill. They started the music and everyone passed it around like Hot Potato. Then the music stopped. The person that was left holding the bill thought they won it. But actually, the person that took out the $1 bill won it. And that was me!

I was considering this idea.....another idea if you have candles or other stuff on the table you can give away is placing a small card on the table telling the person that sits there 'please take home candle', 'please take home table card holder or frame' 'please take home centerpiece', ect.

I'm sure there is a cuter way to say it.....I'm going to ask my friend who did this and let u know.

I went to a wedding last summer... where someone went around taking ONE picture of someone on every table (really quick, w/o people actually noticing it)....

End of the night, they did a slide show with those pictures. If ur face is on the screen - u got the CP

went to a party.. one person took out a dollar bill passed it like a hot potato, music stopped who ever had the bill had to look to there right give that person a kiss then looked to the person on there left shook there hand congradulated then on winning the center piece... it was fun cause the kiss thing was very funny

you could give it to the person with the closest birthday at each table to your wedding date

put a jordan almond under one cup at each table and that is the winner

I've heard of this one before and that's what I was going to suggest. I think it fits in with your April Fools.

That's a GREAT idea - how do you coordinate this??

It's quite a while till my wedding but I am going to call about a week before and make sure it's okay. Then they can decide who to give them to, or where to put them, in case someone has allergies or something.

This is what we are doing too. FH's mom saw this done at a wedding and our hall said they could do it too.

This was what we did. People really enjoyed it. Our centerpieces were TOO big for us to give to one person. Everyone got a little bit. Our florist provided tissue paper and the waitstaff wrapped it up, handing bunches to the ladies as they walked out.
