How to give out favors

HUGE discrepancy over something so silly...

I've been to weddings where either of these have been fine.

Are you planning on putting your favors on display somewhere for guests to take?

OR

Will you go around distributing your favors when you go around to the tables?

If I do small bottles of wine, each place setting will have a favor, if I do the large bottles of wine I will have a favor table which I will hand out the favors at the end of the evening when guests come and say good night.

My favors double as escort cards; one per couple and obviously one per single person. We're going to have them at a table....

I'm going to leave them at each table. I think if you have a 'favor table' a lot of guests won't notice it and you'll have a ton of leftover favors.

Giving one favor per person or per couple really depends on what you are giving out. If it's something edible, I would give one out to everyone. If it was something more pricey or something that can be used in the house, I would give one out to each couple.

we are putting them on the tables. one per couple. some larger sized weddings have someone that works at the RH hand them out towards the end of the reception (usually during the viennese). they usually have a list as well which specifies how many per table. my hall wouldnt do it for us

I collect them also. I have shot glasses for all different states nd countries and WEDDINGS!

I'm doing ediable favors so its going to be a box on each place setting then i'm doing a candy buffet where each guest will serve themselves

Really?? I had no idea they had that...I actually forgot to ask about that!! I have to ask Maryanne when I speak to her...

Is the cart in the lobby area or in the room when they do the vieneese?

If I were doing traditional favors, I would put them on a favor table so people can take them on their way out or something. I wouldn't put them on the place setting because I don't want the tables to look too cluttered. JMO
I wouldn't bring them to my guests when I come to greet them tables because I don't want to carry around a bag or basket and greet people. Just not my thing.

we are doing cupcakes so 1 per person... leaving them on the table with each place setting....

i think you can just tell the RH how many at each table if you are doing per couple... so that you can add singles... like say you have 3 couples and 2 singles at a table you would say put 5 favors there

We put tags around our favors and used them as placecards.

We are thinking about doing the same thing. We are giving bottles of wine and we are going to hang the placecards around them.

I've seen many weddings where they put the favors on the guests place setting. I plan to do this with my boxed truffles. Knowing FH's guests, they will take more than one favor if I put them all on one table.
