How to include my brother in my wedding...

Original post by Syren

My whole family is in the bridal party with the exception of my 9 year old brother. He'll be 10 when the wedding rolls around. I don't have a ringbearer but he's too old. My little sister is going to be the flower girl. I was thinking of having him escort her down the aisle. I don't want him to feel left out. Any suggestions as to how I can include him in the wedding?

Why not be a RB? FH's nephew will be 8 by the time our wedding comes around and he will be the RB. I don't care what ettiquette states but that is roll we thought would fit him best.
Or do a reading. Do whatever makes you and FH comfortable.

I think I am going to have him be a ringbearer. I also like the idea of having him escort my mom or grandmother down the aisle. I think he would look so cute in a tux. :)

I can't have him as a jr. groomsman as my FI already asked my 16yr old brother to be one. We are trying to keep the bridal party small (5 bridesmaids / 5 groomsmen).

Ahhhh the joy of having a big family. I'm the oldest of six children and the first to be getting married!

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I think he can still be part of the wedding party. I don't know exactly what you call little boys in the wedding party that aren't 'ring bearers', I guess junior groomsman?
