My whole family is in the bridal party with the exception of my 9 year old brother. He'll be 10 when the wedding rolls around. I don't have a ringbearer but he's too old. My little sister is going to be the flower girl. I was thinking of having him escort her down the aisle. I don't want him to feel left out. Any suggestions as to how I can include him in the wedding?

If you really want to - I think you can still make him the ring bearer - or you can have him hand out programs or the bubbles (or whatever you're using) as people are leaving.

It would be really cute to have his escort the FG and he could still seat people and hand out bubbles and programs.

I think having him escort the FG is a great idea. Maybe hand out programs too.

A friend of mine was in the same situation. She had her brother in the wedding as a jr. usher. He loved it, he took it so seriously, it was adorable.

I had a junior groomsman with a junior bridesmaid. Otherwise if you dont have a junior BM, let him escort the FG. I think it would be precious, big brother and little sister walking down together!!! PRICELESS!!! DO THAT ! Definately include him in the bridal party and not just the 'side jobs' he;ll know the difference !

Totally OK to walk FG down the aisle. I have seen junior groomsmen, but that is your preference.
If you are having a full mass, maybe he could bring the gifts to the altar.

I think you should make him a junior groomsmen. Or another nice thing you can do is do a special dance with him at the wedding. I danced with my brother and my husband danced with his sister at our wedding to the song 'Count on Me' by Whitney Houston.

My sister is only 12 and she is going to be my maid of honor. I would get him a tux and have him walk yor sister down the aisle like a grooms men.

you could also have him escort your mom down the aisle. this is what i plan on having my brother do (although he is 27, not 9!)

Re: How to include my brother in my wedding...
I don't think that 10 is too old for a ring bearer. Mine was 8.
What about having him walk your Mom and Grandmother down the aisle? That would be cute.

I have all 4 of my nephews in my BP...the ages range from 9 to 1 1/2...I threw the traditional stuff out the window and called them all ushers.

Re: How to include my brother in my wedding...
You can def have him as a junior GM. My FSIL included all the neices and nephews. One was about 8 or 9 at the time, and she gave him the special task of walking down the aisle holding the bible. Maybe that won't work for you, but something similar might make him feel important.

You could have him be a RB still (if that's what you want to do) my little brother is 12 and I was going to have him as the RB, and my 10 year old sister as the FG.
