Ok so I have put myself on a strict plan to save for the wedding. It's going to cost us a lot( as weddings do) but this has really worked for me. I started doing it last pay period and I have noticed a difference. Heres some of the things I've been doing so far
1-Completely cut out dunkin donuts in the morning(though I LOVE my iced coffees!) Instead I wait till I get to work and make coffee in the staff room.
2-Refill water bottles-not as good but it'll do the job
2-stopped buying lunch everyday-i treat myself once a week to food at my job-all other days I pack lunch
3-Stopped getting my nails done(I miss it though!)
4-instead of FH and I ordering dinner a few times a week, I cook. I know its crazy but its really helping.
5-walk to the store instead of driving(yep I'm lazy like that!)
What about you guys? Do you have any ways that you are able to save for the wedding? I'd love to hear them because any little bit can help!:

Wow! We take 10percent of our paychecks and put them in a savings account. We would love to do that but being that both of us have loans from NYU and Columbia as well as a mortgage we can't swing it! Donna, you are good! Giving up Dunkin Donuts and nails! I couldnt...we both decided that we would save in ways that we could still 'live' ya know? Not that you arent living, but FH was really adamant about us still doing thins that we enjoy. It is SO hard!

YES IT IS!!! LOL like even going to the nail salon im like oh how i wish I could get a pedicure and my nails done...but the bare necessity is eyebrow wax! I used to do that every 2 weeks...now I tweeze and wait till it gets horrible to wax!!!
at the GTG nobody look at my nails!!!!

We are doing some of the same things....I cut out my starbucks which was so ridiculously overpriced to begin with, I pack lunch for both FH and myself most days, we really try not to splurge on things that we used to like clothes. The worst has been trying not to eat out though, because I am the WORST cook ever!! I can make Italian food like its my job, but anything else Im a total spaz in the kitchen. And I think FH is getting tired of alternating between PB&J and hotdogs for dinner

I just can't give that up...its the one thing I do for myself ya know? But you are right it isnt a necessity...although today i got them done and thought 'I will tweeze my eyebrows instead of getting them waxed...that will save me 7 dollars!'

Great plan!! Isn't amazing how much you save by not buying coffee and stupid stuff like that...I have been trying to stop shopping for clothes.... and with the fall stuff coming out now it is killing me...plus I am a teacher and I didn't work over the summer and my funds are quickly diminishing.

It really does feel nice to walk out of the nail salon with freshly painted nails, toes, and nice even cleaned up eyebrows!!!!
Its true though the 7 bucks you definately CAN save!!!

4. Buy a deep freezer and fill it up.
5. Getting the nails done is hard because the ring looks so much better on your fingers

7.bring my credit cards down to a $0 balance
