HOW WAS EVERYONE'S VALENTINE'S DAY

Original post by Mrs. Powell

Mine was very beautiful and romantic. We went to dinner at The Manhattan Ocean Club and we had candle lit dinner. When we got home there was two dozen assorted roses waiting for me in the bedroom. OMG the flowers were beautiful.DH also wrote me a beautiful poem that really had me crying. He is just the sweetest. I gave him a beautiful handmade card that I ordered with some boxer briefs and a pair of suede loafers that he wanted for the longest. This was our little Valentine's. Now I am basking in the after glow.

Re: HOW WAS EVERYONE'S VALENTINE'S DAY

Mine was nice after stressing yesterday of whether I needed to get him something additional.

I came home and there were flowers on the table. He had ordered them a few weeks ago to have them delivered and he was a bit annoyed because they didn't come until after 5pm (he waited around all day and had stuff to do). He was excited because they came with a vase (usually he just picks me up bouquets when he gets me flowers). The note in the card was really sweet and romantic about how happy he was to be living together and then he wrote we've only just begun.

He felt he needed to do something big since he went skiing for a week at the beginning of the month, then I went on a business trip the day he got back, before he got back, and now he's going skiing until Friday. At least he's supposed to be around most of the weekend!

Mine was nice, tho FH had to work last night. We went to Wendy's for a quick dinner and I was pleasantly surprised to see that other couples were there too!! Then when he got home I surprised him with some blueberry muffins.

Re: HOW WAS EVERYONE'S VALENTINE'S DAY

Ours was so nice, we agreed no gifts this year because it's so close to wedding. But I gave him his wedding gift early because I didn't want to be to emotional on Friday. I gave him locket cufflinks, one side with a picture of his late father, and the other side with our dog we just put down (he was supposed to be our ring bearer), but was then diagnosed with cancer. We both kinda cried, and hugged for a while, he was soooo happy to have that on the wedding day.

Then we went to Toast a fondue restaurant for dinner (MY FAVORITE!) and he bought me beautiful roses. It was just a nice night to pause and be together amongst all the craziness of getting ready for Friday!

Quiet. We made homemade gifts for each other over the weekend and exchanged them early. We never buy gifts.....besides our dating anniversary is in March and we make sure to buy then.

We didn't go out to dinner because I am on Nutrisystem and didn't want to break my diet and I'm still recovering from being sick so I am not up to going out. So we ate and relaxed and watched the Olympics.

All that mattered to me was that we spent it together.

Mine was nice- we went to dinner and Jake came home from work early- which is a nice treat for me

I felt so bad for him - b/c he waited on line to get me flowers- then realized he left his wallet at home- he was so upset that I was going to be mad at him- but I wasn't

I didn't get my present yet- b/c it's B-day/V-day combo- and my B-day is not till May
but I think I am going to get it before my Business trip on March 10th-

he send me multicolored roses at work and we went to dinner at a restaurant near our house. it was a place i was dying to try.

well we get there all dressed up and it was almost like a pizza place! i was a little ticked! but its my fault because i picked the place. however the food was great and we will definitely eat there again, but wearing jeans!

anyway, it was still nice because we were together!

Where did you go? Have you gone to telluride yet? DH and I really liked that place although our favorite restaurants are in SoNo.

We had a nice relaxing dinner at home. DH cooked me filet mignon last night-so yummy. He also wrote me a beautiful card. We're going out to dinner at our favorite restaurant this weekend to celebrate V-Day.

Mine was nice. He sent me flowers to work with chocolates. After work I went over his house and we exchanged presents. I gave him a gift certificate to Arthur Murray's for dance lessons (which he is really excited about ) and he gave me a Willow Tree Figurine for my collection. Then we went to dinner at Blue Honu, where I got 'leid' with beautiful Hawaiian Orchids. All in all it was a great Valentine's Day.

it was nice. i had to work that nite (i work at a restaurant), but we got up early and hung out . i was just happy to have hom in my bed b/c we have been apart for 2 months.

then i made us an omlette and toast. we then went to look at wedding rings for him and then went and had gino's pizza for lunch. since he isnt in NY often he loves the pizza and you dont have to twist my arm to have pizza. then i had to go into work and he said he would wait up and we would have a glass of wine and chocolate. i didnt get home until 2 AM, poor guy, he was so tired. at work, we had a late, late (had 10 pm reservations) table that sat down at 11 pm (who the heck eats at 11 pm on long island?). he was tired, but we had a glass of wine then went to bed. he sent tulips to me at work (he propsed with tulips) and a card. i gave him a shirt and some chocolate. all in all i was happy just to see him.

He got me flowers, a beautiful card, godiva, and the swavorski 2006 heart ornament- the crystal with the pink inside. I love it!
It was great just being with eachother all night, no interruptions, no work at home... just relaxing

We went to Peter Luger's. Yes, the steak is just as amazing as it is known for. It was a great meal! And, FH bought me a beautful card and flowers.

I got flowers, chocolate, went out to dinner to this great Thai restaurant. But the best gift was 2 tickets to the Metropolitan Opera in April to see La Triviata. I was sooo choked up. I have never received anything like that. He is so romantic.

Re: HOW WAS EVERYONE'S VALENTINE'S DAY

FH came to my job wearing a pair of heart antlers and carrying a dozen red roses and a gaint heart shaped ballon that said I love you. Then when I got home, my 4 year old son gave me a hand painted wooden heart necklace that said #1 Mom on the front written in his own handwriting and one of those World's Largest Hersey Kiss things. After getting the boys to bed, my FH had a spinach quiche (my favorite) waiting for me. It was store bought, but I won't hold that against him. I gave him a card, some candy and a pair of love cuffs as a gag gift.
