My FMIL asked me what items my FH picked out on our registry so she can have her friends buy those items. I told her that since he does 99% of the cooking, basically everything but the bedding and home decor items.

It's more than weird - I think it's pretty crappy. She only wants her friends to buy gifts he picked out, essentially stuff 'for him' (even though it's technically for both of you).
Kinda tacky if you asked me. I would have told her he picked everything

Why does that matter? It's for your HOME w/ FH...i'm sure he will use or at least benefit from everything that's bought
