How/Where do you get passports?

I know you can take the pictures at some of the post offices but does anyone know the whole process? TIA

go to a photo store or a duane reade/cvs and get your photo taken.

Print forms off of internet.

PASPPORT WEBPAGE

Take filled out form and two 2x2 photo's to post office along with with birth certificate and Driver's License...

Pay the $85 fee (or more if a rush).

Get in mail in about 4 weeks

It's pretty easy and painless

FYI - if you live in Nassau, the P.O. at Roosevelt Field does passports and is open longer than other branches on Saturdays (it is in the lower level of the mall). My FH got his there, very quickly and I wish I had done that instead of wait on line for 30 minutes of my lunch hour.

Don't know if they take photos there- got mine at Walgreens
