Cycling, Spin classes, the elliptal walking on an incline, swimming are all good forms of cardio.

Lots of free weights and weight training about 4 times per week! Following a healthy diet adn drinking lots of water! FM if you have any questions...i love nutrition and fitness!

doing cardo and weigh training.. but if you build up your muscles around where you are hurt it might help. swimming is a great way to work out without putting the pressure on your muscles.

if you join a gym, most of them let you have a free orientation with a trainer, meet with the trainer about the things you want to work onand what your restrictions are and they can help make a workout to suit you. HTH and good luck!!!

1 hr cardio (my treadmill), 20min endurance (my excercise bike).and my ab roller 50 situps. 3 to 4 times a week. (because i like to eat what i want so it balances out lol)

Then in March i might do Nutrisystem and that excercise regime. if i dont hit my goal.

I want to lose like 30lbs but healthy and not fast because when you lose to fast it comes back with a vengence.

I eat 100% organic and that helps a lot. I also add in some light free weights just to tone. I think I may start adding more calories to gain more mass though and then tone.
I went to the 100% organic in May and am now having trouble finding jeans that aren't in the kids section that fit Lastnight I went shopping with my mom and came to the conclusion that I'm soon gonna be shopping in the Childrens Place

Whatever you do the key is to mix it up./ Your body will get really used to whatever you do and excercises become less effective. . so non impact, cardio, weights, yoga and pilates are great to add for toning. .then just watch diet too b/c if you work out hard and eat more, it all cancels out. . good luck!! (I need to take all my advice to )

I've been told by a few fitness models I've met or worked with) and they will tell you that yes, exercise is incredibly important, however your body is 90% diet.

I'm a big dieter, however my favorite exercise is uphill walking (an incline of 10 on a treadmill at 3.5

If you can't work out due to injury, you'll be fine as long as you really watch what types of food you're eating.

I've been doing some cardio but I think next week I'm going to try a trial at ckokickboxing. I've heard great things about it from girls on here!

Lauren, I have the cardio/weight down pat, but I still can't seem to lose the weight. I don't have self-control with food. Any advice on how to curb the cravings???

I have a gazelle and an ab roller and when I'm dedicated and am consistent with my workouts, I find that i eat better automatically. The problem is actually getting into a routine.

I also want to give running a try. I have no stamina though. And I wind up giving up.

Diet is just as important as excersie...
Cut out a lot of sugar/carbs (but not all cause your body needs it!) I am a sugar junkie - and when I actually put my mind to it and don't eat extra sugary stuff I lose weight like it's nobody's business.

I hate working out - so I do yoga - it's a great way to tone your body... power yoga offers some cardio... but it's often not recommended for beginners.

I usually do yoga 2x a week and work my lower body w/weight training 1x a week - it's not an ideal workout routine lol but it's better than nothing.
