how would you address this invite?

how would you address this invite?

Its a widowed woman (fhs sister) and her three kids but i also want to invite her with a guest

so normally, 'The Perez Family' would work but I cant just pop in the words 'and guest' at the end of that. ...

i think anyone over 18 gets their own invite?

I would do the outside envelope as the Perez family and then on the inside envelope write an 'and guest next to her name and the 3 kid's names under hers...JMO-- not sure of protocol.

If they are over 18 I agree with sending individual invites!

How old are the kids? Why not do two invites:

Ms. X Perez & Guest

and then the other one:

A, B, and C Perez

That's what I would do regardless of how old the kids are just so you can avoid the invitation sounding funny.

I would either
1) send 2 invites (one for the adults, one for the 3 kids)
2) First line: Mrs. Perez and Guest
Second line: Kids' names

(I prefer option one, but I think option 2 would be acceptable too)

thanks!

yeah i completely agree about sending a seperate invite expecially if someone is over 18 and even more so if they are invited with a guest but you know fhs, they dont get it.

thank you!

i think i might just do his sister and guest and then the kids names underneathe

knowing fh though, hell say not to invite her with a guest to avoid this

Re: how would you address this invite?

I would do what Christina said in her second option.

Ms. Jane Jetson & Guest
Judy, Elroy, & Astro Jetson

I'm on a Jetsons kick lately... I have no idea why.

I'm against sending two invitations to the same household for 'green' reasons -- it's just a waste IMO.

If you don't want to list her name on the front that way, address it to 'The Jetson Family' and call her and personally tell her that she is welcome and encouraged to bring a guest. There can be nothing sweeter than some personalized phone time from the bride to be.
