Re: How would you feel?
I think she put you in a terrible spot by asking.
I also think when you agree to be in someone's BP you know there is a financial commitment involved.
Is there anyway you can help her with the cost of the dress so she can get a new one with the rest of the girls?

First of all it's your wedding, you can choose whatever dress you want them to wear, not visa versa. Quite frankly I think that it is rude of her.

Everyone knows how expensive it is to be an a wedding! If you can't afford it, DON'T ACCEPT!!!!! People. Don't let her stress you out.

Now I see why you're not having fun planning your wedding. I wouldn't even take what she said into consideration. And quite frankly I think it was ridiculous of her to even say that to you. It's your day, you pick the colors and you pick the dress. When it's her day you would do the same for her. I would be annoyed if one of my girls said that to me.

Re: How would you feel?
you're not being a bridezille...your BM that agreed to be in your wedding knows darn well that what she is asking is not fair, but probably figures you will say its okay.
when one becomes a BM, they understand that it can be a financial undertaking...pay for a dress, shoes, jewelry, make-up, hair, etc. She knew the deal when she said yes, and now she is trying to cut corners.
Inform her that while you understand that she may have some financial issues, you are giving her ample amount of time to save for the dress. plus you would like all the BM's to wear the same style dress....why should they have to hunt down her style because she wants to be cheap!? in other words, it's okay to inconvenience everyone else who would have to find a similiar dress, style, and color just so SHE doesn't want to pony up some dough. If she looked at it from that point of view, I think she'd realize it's not fair.
If she persists to say she wants to wear the old dress...well you'll have to make the executive decision on whether she can remain in the bridal party.
Good luck!

Re: How would you feel?
I would feel bad about having to tell her no, she can't do that at all. But I'd get over it. don't let this ruin your fun, the planning is part of the wedding and you have to make it enjoyable. If one of my bridesmaids said this to me, I'd have some real second thoughts about wanting her in my wedding party at all.

Re: How would you feel?
That is unreal. She can't expect you to choose your bridesmaid's dresses based upon one that she already has!! That would be so unfair to you and the rest of your girls!
