my Fh cousin isnt even engaged yet but they are planning a wedding for 5 months after ours...how would you feel about this???

I wouldn't be too upset! Your wedding is first, and you'll still have plenty of time in the spot light! Just enjoy planning your wedding, and be happy that you can go to theirs as Mr. and Mrs.

My cousin planned his 29 days after mine, even though I was engaged and planned mine first...it happens. I was upset at first but now it's no big deal!

It wouldn't bother me....it's after your wedding and the spot light will still be on you...also they do have the right to get married when they want to get married just like you did. DH and I got enaged a month b4 his brothers wedding and believe me our engagement didn't take any attention away from their wedding.

same situation for me - little more than 29 days after mine, but as upset as I was at first, helped me to realize all those extra people that I didn't really want to come to mine but 'have to invite' are her immediate family so I don't have to worry about them coming to mine!

5 whole months after...its a cousin, not his brother or immediate family member...i guess..dont let it get to u, ur wedding is first..and hey like u said they arent even engaged yet!!

i wouldn't be upset... i think 5 months is enough of a 'break' after yours... its not like they are rushing and trying to plan it before yours., just to be spiteful.... they are waiting until after yours, and leaving plenty of time... don't sweat it

5 months would be perfectly fine with me. Sorry but you can't hog the whole year lol... that'd be nice though wouldn't it? You'll be okay!
I think it's fine. If they got engaged then people would be all over them and not on you. 5 months is a long time in non- wedding planning time! I had a wed in Oct. and another one in Feb. That's only 4 months. Don't be worried!

No worries there but i kinda can understand where your comming from. My cousin booked his wedding prior to me making my engagement announcement to everyeone (my ring didn't fit so we had to wait a month to tell everyone, eeks) I was so upset at first. He wasn't even engaged just his bride to be and him found a place and booked it.
I got over it after a few days and realized its not a big deal. I set my date earlier much earlier so it wouldn't be too close to his date. Mine 3.16.08 his 8.8.08

FH's cousin decided this past summer that she should be married before us since she and her boyfriend have been dating longer- they met in high school, FH and I met in college. Soooo she got engaged and set the date in like a week and is now getting married 5 months before us. ugggghhhh
