I have been so upset since Saturday night. I had my b-party this weekend & one of my friends who I invited said she couldn't come because she had no money. Mind you, she is married & when it was her b-party I went to all of the festivites & spent about $500. At the time I was a full time student & working part time. After she said no because she is 'broke' another friend of ours offered to cover her for the night & she still refused. While sitting at dinner Saturday night, I went on facebook to update my status & her status was: 'headin out for a night with Good Friends.' I am so upset. She obviously lied to me. If she had plans she could have just said, I have prior plans instead of saying she is 'broke.'
(BTW: dinner came out to $65 per peron)
Would you be hurt if this happened to you?? Would you say something to her about it???

well she lied to you and then posted something where she knew you would see it... i would be more than hurt... i'd be furious...
ETA: I would definitely say something like... how did the good times with your 'good friends' go on Saturday... or something bitchy like that...

Yeah, I would definitely be upset. If she asks how the bachelorette party went, I would ask her how was your night out with the girls? She could have just been honest with you.

I would be beyond pissed. I have no patience for lying. You should have posted something on her page as soon as you saw that like 'awesome, where you headed, maybe we can meet up!?' lol..

Honestly, I wouldn't jump to conclusions.
Just because someone said they went out with good friends doesn't mean she had to spend $ and doesn't mean she lied to you. If I couldn't go to a friends bparty cuz I had no $ that doesn't mean I was going to sit home all night and not do anything. I would probably still go out. But going out could be sitting at someone's house watching tv. I can also understand her saying no to your friend offering to cover her for the night. Some people just aren't comfortable accepting $ like that, me being one of them.
I wouldn't say anything b/c your just going on assumptions and nothing can come of it. It can't change the fact that she wasn't there and went out that night.

Re: how would you feel??
My sister posted on her status: 'we are missing you here at the bachelorette party.'
her response: 'awww wish i was there!! make it up to u girls at the wedding!
I think thats bull shi+. If she wishes she was there, wouldn't she have figured out a way to come?? No we are not making it up at the wedding. You will be there with your husband & I will be in my big wedding gown. I am not going to be drinking & doing shots at the bar all night long.

I'm sorry, but she sounds like a classless idiot! Who lies and then outs herself on facebook???
I'm sure you had a better time without her there.
And to answer your question, I'd be PISSEDDDD and hurt. I wouldn't even bother getting an explanation since she'd probably lie about her reasons.

We confirmed that she went out. My other friend, T had her husband call this girls husband to see if he wanted to 'hang out' since T was out with me. The girls husband said, 'Nah, not tonight I am watching the baby because wife is out with so & so at such & such bar.'
