Your FMIL was not getting her hair NOR her makeup professionally done on the day of the wedding?

I offered for my FMIL to have my makeup lady do her face, but she said no thanks...I was a bit worried at first because she never wears makeup and I can't imagine her doing it by herself. But honestly, I can't worry about it because there is still so much other stuff to worry about!

I wouldn't care either way. It's totally up to her whether she gets her hair and make-up done. Knowing my FMIL I don't think she will.

It would not bother me at all though my FMIL is too vain NOT to have her hair done. Make-up is another story. MY mom has worn her make up the same way as long as I can remember. For her to wear it any other way would make her uncomfortable. As far as her hair goes. She is arthritic and cannot manipulate a hairbrush well enough to have her hair look nice for a formal wedding. She also doesnt have the range of motion with her arms - she has her hair blown out twice a week - makes her feel pretty
I wish I could cut my hair short and spiky again. Then I wouldnt need someone to do my hair - it took me less than 10 seconds LITERALLY when it was buzzed.
(BTW, the necklace I am wearing in this picture was purchased by my dad for my mom on their honeymoon over 49 years ago - it is one of my fave pieces of jewelry)
I didnt mind at all - my MIL didnt and she looked fine.

It wouldn't bother me...as long as what she wears isn't embarassing to me, I don't really care.

What? Hair & Make-up??? You should feel so lucky that is your only gripe. Mine definetly will do it herself,short hair & not much make-up. But....how would you feel if it was 24 days to your wedding & FMIL (& FSIL) have NOT yet bought gowns?!!!! I swear these ppl are the root of my recent wedding related nightmares. Last night I had my 2nd fitting and she called to say 'maybe I could go with you and browse around the shop' Ummmm...NO YOU CAN'T,you see,I ordered the damn dress LAST YEAR...AS DID MY MOTHER!!!' Well, I didn't say that,but I wanted to. Tonight they're going to Estelles.

whatever she wants to do if fine with me.
i'm making my mom get her hair and makeup done because she's a little challenged in that department plus i think it'll make her feel better. she wants to do it though

I would think its a bit strange but I am sure she isnt coming with her hair up in curlers or anything.

I don't think she will.... in fact I don't know if she will wear make-up at all. I have never seen her wear any. I can't force her to do anything and it doesn't really bother me at all. The thing that is making me a little concerned though is I don't think she is going to get a dress that is formal enough. They are from upstate, and its so not the same there. I personally don't mind, but I don't want her to feel underdressed or uncomfortable.

It wouldn't bother me at all. My FMIL passed by FH's aunt is standing in her place. I couldn't expect her to pay for something like that, I'm sure she'll look fine with how she's comfortable doing her hair/MU.
