Yup! If they aren't excited to be in the BP then they are going to put damper on all the wedding planning and not be there for you as a BM should.

I guess ppl don't realize that a dress has to be ordered way more in advanced than in a year when it'll be just a few short months until your wedding lol. AHHHH just surround yourself with people who are happy for you and excited to be a part of your bp, LIKE ME

i wouldn't be offended at all - actually, i think it is so great that someone could say No instead of being pressure into saying yes and maybe backing out or causing problems later on.

i totally respect that actually - being in a BP is so expensive - and it takes up a lot of time. so even tho you are happy for the bride - it is better to know that you cant handle it at the moment and avoid stress for her later on

for example - my sister and i decided together that she would not be in my BP for financial and time constraint reasons - that does NOT mean she isnt happy for me. . .she is my biggest supporter

I would think its better that they said no, they would probably turn out to be one of those people who cause problems with a BP anyway. your better off..

i would look for someone else who WANTS to be part of it! You dont need someone who doesnt wanna be there! My friend had a BM like that who felt Obligated to be in the wedding party and a few mnths after asking her she sat her down and said hey if u dont wanna do this dont! no biggie! and the girl said ok no thanks! she found someone else!

In a year 2 months before the wedding, the bm dresses will have been ordered and too many arrangements made for a certain number-that's totally unfair to me.

yeah girls i know what shes talking about and i agree if a girl doesn't have money and it will be a burden then its different and completely understandable. But helen nobody knows the whole story so its hard to judge for others.

This person has MORE than enough money its not an issue.
