I'd print directly on the envelopes, but I'd not use labels... JMHO.
I agree... but as for priniting v. caligraphy- we had ours hand done only because we knew someone who did it for free and I honestly think the envelopes we have gotten where people had them computer printed came out better than ours.

I think it's perfectly fine to print the envelopes. You know everyone is just going to throw them out anyway and I honestly can't remember out of any of the weddings we've been to, who hand wrote the envelopes and who printed them.

I think it's fine. I personally dont like hand-written calligraphy. Think it just looks weird and a waste of money. I had my envelopes printed with a fancy font with Inkspun.com. Very affordable and think they came out great.

I printed mine directly on the envelopes and they came out awesome.

I used clear labels and printed in script and it came out beautiful
We did the same thing. I was not spending extra money and worrying about the printer messing up my envelopes. People are just going to throw out the envelopes anyway.

You don't HAVE to do anything.
If you really like how it looks, you should definitely go for it
