I just watched it and all I can say is WOW! I'd be pissed if I saw my wedding pics and there was a smiley face on my dress.

But when she holds up the dress it's quite clear that it's there. I don't know how she didn't notice until she saw the pics

Here is a link to the dress on the Amsale website. I can see the smiley face. Why would Kenneth Pool design a dress with a smiley face? So strange. Smiley face link

It's so clear. I can't imagine how the girl never noticed... I also think it was unfair to hound the designer and Kleinfeld's over it when it was obviously the exact beading of the gown she tried on... You can even see it in the pro pics advertising the gown!

I totally agree. The designer should not have to pay to retouch photo's of a gown made exactly the way it is advertised. I would never call Alfred Angelo if I didn't like my gown the day after.

Re: Howard...
a friend of mine said maybe you can't tell in person and somehow the flash picks it up.
In the brides defence it is not that noticable in the link. It is just that we are looking for it and know its there. Also she had a white dress which made it stand out more. BUT yes she sould have seem it during her fittings. I don't think she deserves a refund but I agree with the picture retouching.

I am sorry, it really isn't funny, but it sort of is...?
NO I would be pissed it happened to me. But I just can't believe you couldn't notice it in person.

YES! me too-- how did you not notice this at your many fittings when all you do is put on the dress and stare at yourself in the mirror-- lol i mean most brides do that! AND they have thier family members come with them most of the time to see them in their gowns- how did no one notice this? It is SO clear!
Wow, I mean- I don't think it's Kleinfeld's fault- I feel like the designer is responsible and the fact that no one else complained about the gown may mean that hers was one of the only ones-- a fluke-- which she should get some compensation and i think the re-touching of her photos was fair enough... so, all in all I think it worked out well for her... wow though!!

Definitely not a fluke -- the same beadwork in the same pattern can be seen in the dress in ads.
