Re: How's Windows On The Lake????
JMO the guy there was the biggest used car salesmen I had ever spoken to....no offense to the used carsalesmen! But my mother went in and got a price for us...the 2 days later they gave me a higher price for teh same package! this was just my experience! A friend got married there last year and had a good experience with them all around!
If you do a search however someone just got married there I think its OOPS but I am not positive!
ETA, one thing to consider, which we didnt like, its RIGHT on a fairly main road! If you have an outdoor cocktail hour, its in front of hte building and therefore your guests will be able to watch the cars go by. My hall is on even more of a main rd, Rt 112 but our outdoor area is in a garden in the back so you cant see the traffic unless you are standing in front!
ETA thats who it was SUNNY~

Re: How's Windows On The Lake????
I went to a wedding there last winter and was not impressed at all. I had written this and I got totally chewed out by another bride on this board, so if you are interested in why, Fm mail me.
The guy is seriously a used car salesman. My day was amazing, with a few (very minor) bumps. I would get married there again, but please make sure you get every little thing in writing!
He promised us a lot to get us to book, and then after we made a deposit some stuff changed. We ended up getting everything we wanted in the end, and all our guests said they had a great time, the food was great, and they were all happy.
I did not want my cocktail hour outside, I don't like outdoor cocktail hours (JMO) We were supposed to have our ceremony out on the lake, but the weather wasn't good enough.
All in all, everything was great!

Re: How's Windows On The Lake????
FH's sister had her reception there in April. I was not impressed at all. First off they do two weddings at a time, but they were arriving at the same time and once we got inside we were so confused as to where to go. Our table was completely passed over for coffee service
ETS: I completely forgot when I first posted that my cousin is a bartender there so if you choose to have your reception there, tip your bartenders! They don't get a cut of the service charge AND they have to give a percentage of their tips to the owner! WTF is that all about? Like this guy doesn't make enough $$??

I had a bad experience with Beach Club which has the same exact owners.
I would look around I can't tell you how many people have comeout of the woodworks to tell me about their experiences with them, mostly negative. This is my experience with them. So I am only speaking for myself. Sorry to the other gals who are booked with them but I am just letting people know what happened to me and then you can judge for yourself

My FH's cousin got married there in April. The food is absolutely delicious! The service isn't that great. Our waiter, never cleaned one drink off of our table. And he never brought us any drinks. Every time we wanted something, we had to get up and get it ourselves. There were trays of dirty plates and glasses in every corner of the hall, which I filled right up with all of our beverage glasses, that didn't get cleaned off of our table. T

Kelly the road right in front of Windows was the main thing I didn't like there. The Beach Club Estate is owned by the same people however it is at the dead end of a residential road right on the shore of the lake. Very private but for a smaller wedding.
