So, with 2010 right around the corner how is your budgeting/saving going? Are you right where you thought would be or behind like I am. I told FH last night that we need to save an additional $400 a month ($200 from each) in order for us to be SOMEWHAT on sched.

we are doing ok but i think we might end up a little short. we just gotta start putting a little bit more each paycheck into our wedding account and we should be fine.

we are about 2K behind... and we are working overtime and 2 jobs each! and now the holidays are coming around and I am nervous about how much father behind will be. so far though, we haven't missed any wedding or bill payments - so we have been lucky... keeping my fingers crossed that this will all work out!

we're on schedule. we are by like 3.5K over, which I totally expected, so I guess we are under by 1.5K if u really account for what I knew we would spend regardless of what I set the budget for.

i think we will be OK.....
i keep track everyday, im obsessed. according to WMs wedding planner budget thing, so far we are under budget, which is AWESOME, because we were projected to have an INSANE FINAL TALLEY (again according to that planner) luckily FH mom is paying for our flowers (thats her gift ) and my mom is paying for our Photo/video (i asked for this instead of a gift, just so she can make the payments and we wont have to worry about coming up with money ) so when thats taken out, what we owe is even less then we expected.... so its kinda a relief... but our numbers are still soooo high
just have to keep saving saving saving........................................................ but i think we will have just enough to cover our expenses.

LOL! This makes sense to me!
I think we're okay. Maybe $2k at the end will be unaccounted for, but that's the most.
ETA: I just found out I am getting a Christmas bonus, so I'm really counting on that and a decent tax return in April to keep us going!

i feel like i am saving but then comes a wedding r birthday and now the holidays. Its getting harder and harder to save money. I will be broke after this wedding but the wedding will be paid for

Yea, I know the feeling. I have a somewhat good amount saved in my personal savings and I'm trying my best not to touch that. Cuz if I do I won't have a $ to my name

I had a long engagement in order to save $$ for the wedding. Right now I have 15K sitting in an online savings account and I'm hoping it will be enough to cover the RH (approx 6K depending on add ons), the Photographer/Videographer (4K) and DJ (still not booked) and Florist (not booked). Hair and Makeup are already booked ($350).
I haven't accounted for other details like party favors, slippers, little DYI projects or parent gifts (had no idea that was even sometihng I needed!).

We are sticking around budget, but there's a lot of little things that weren't even put in to the budget...so like right now we're budgeted around like $26,000 I think...but it might end up being closer to $30,000...
...thank goodness for my parents or we'd be getting married outside the IHOP.

I am no where near where I should be and with my wedding 3 mths away I am freaking out! Once I make the payment that I have due Monday for the Rh and pay the photo/video there final payment in till after the wedding I will be okay! Fh will have to cheap in ( he wants all his money to go to a house) he may be getting laid off ( please pray he does not) so we have not bought our house we will wait otherwise I will have to ask my aunt for money which I really don't wanna do! I am also not buying anyone expensive gifts this Christmas!
