I am too old. and there are still other forms of cervical cancer you can still get even though you got the vaccine.

it does not prevent cervical cancer - it prevents HPV that may lead to it

you have to get it before the age of 27...and theres 3 sets of shots, that are a few months apart so keep that in mind

I talked about this not too long ago with my doctor and problem is that i would be under 27 for the first shot but the other two shots would be after i am 27

do u know anyone who got the vaccine? and if they had any side effects? all i read on the website is it may cause pain in the area where administered, nauausa and dizzines. so if thats the worst that happens its not all that bad.

I think that those are the most common side effects. I'm sure there are a small percentage of girls that had more or less but they have to warn you of everything that might happen. Also, if you are thinking of getting the shot anyway, chances are the gynocologist, or any dr. that administers this would be able to give you further info before you receive the shot.

no my friends and i are too old...But let me tell you with 1 in 3 women getting it, which seriously i always hear of someone new getting it, its worth it. Better than all the treatments youwould have to do after, exactly like you said, if thats the worst then that is better than what you would go through if you had HPV
