So, I am going tonight to get the vaccine. I HATE HATE HATE going to the GYN so i am super nervous - more about the exam than the shot but anywho
i will let you know how it goes
the PA that is doing the exam is getting married soon - i always forget to ask if she is on here. . . maybe i will ask instead of staring up at the ceiling wishing for it to end

so as usual i worried the whole day . . .got the exam and the shot and was done in 5 minutes - it was no big deal.
i felt a little sick last night - nothing major and it may have been all in my head since i was expecting to feel sick. Today my arm HURTS!!!!!!!!!
but oh well, I have to go back in May
It was funny bc she was talking about her wedding during the actual exam and I have no idea what she was saying for those five minutes i was like 'yeah, sure uh-huh' i just couldnt pay attention! lol but it was fine and now i dont have to go for a whole year! plus i found out they do laser hair removal so i may be going back for that
sooo . . .i was reading all the info on the vaccine yesterday - she made me wait 15 minutes before going home to make sure i didnt get sick and i HIGHLY suggest anyone who is under 27 talk to their doctor about it!
ALMOST forgot the best part - FH drove me and when i came out after he had dunkin donuts white hot chocolate - YUM!

i get so nervous and then it is like a 5 minute thing! it is so funny. . . and yet i do it every time!
you should go get it ASAP - i dont know how old you are but you cant get it once you are 27 and it is a three shot cycle

I just got my HPV shot last week. And it ***** cause now I need to make sure once I graduate college this May I have health insurance with my new job...cause once I graduate I am not under my parents insurance----and guess what that shot can run up to $300!!!!!
But I hate shots and it wasn't that bad- my arm was just sore the rest of the day. Make sure she gives it to you in the arm you dont use for writing!!

Good for you, i think it is a great idea to get it and definitely should be done...Don't worry you'll be fine and it will be over with before you know it.

ive been thinking about getting it..but im also going through obgyn appts. to make sure my ovaries and cervix are all in tip top shape so i dont know if i can still get it being that the vaccine prevents a cancer that i might already have

im just nervous because i heard ppl say they got it in the tush...and that just makes me cringe. im fine with shots in the arm...so maybe ill just go in and make sure to ask for it there. im probably going to schedule something for april cuz march is too busy for me.

yeah i know i am 27 I wish i had known sooner, when i found out it was right before my 27th birthday and that would've meant that 2 of the 3 shots would be after I am 27

yeah we have the same doc so i am pretty sure it will be in the arm!
she was so funny she asked if i was getting it bc you guys got it LOL like its a peer pressure thing!
