For those that have had the HSG test - what, if anything were you told to do to prepare for it the day of the test?

HSG is a test...they shoot dye into your tubes to see if they are all clear.
I was told to fast for 4 hours prior to the test. Take some Advil about 1-2 hours before and after. My Dr gave me an antibiotic to take but no one have spoken to about the test thinks its necessary.
I go for mine on Friday.

HSG stands for Hysterosalpingogram... Dr. injects dye into your cervix in order to highlight your fallopian tubes to see if they are open or if there is a blockage. I assist with them at my job...sometimes after having the test done women get pregnant within a month because mucas can build up in the tubes and when the Dr injects the dye it kinda pushes all the mucus out and opens up the tubes so the eggies can get thru easier.. baby dust to all of you!!!
