Hsg test...anyone had it?

I have had it done.

I have had mutiple internal sonograms...but you cant compare the two, they are looking at two different things.

Make sure you take advil before hand.

Take the antibiotics they give you!

As for pain...for some it is painless, for some it is uncomfortable and still others exeperience actual pain. I dont know if there is a way to figure out which you will be.
I once thought if you had no blockage there was no pain, but some of the ladies on this board have told me that is not true.

I had it done, and luckily no blockages, and it was quite uncomfortable. It feels like very bad cramps. I toop soom advil before and it didnt seem to help.
like lilmrs said people say you feel no pain if there is no blockage, but I had none and I felt pain.

I didn't have much pain at all, but I cheated on the advil dosage....my re recommended 2 pills two hours before , and 2 more pills one hour before....I took 3 pills each time :) I was drugged up hehe.....

The test is over so shortly....

I had some sonograms done but like was said before,...they look for different things. Sonograms can't determine whether the fallopian tubes are blocked or if there is polyps or fibroids in your uterus.

I took the test...I took 2 advil an hour before as they recommend. It wasn't so much painful as uncomfortable. I didn't have a sono until after....my regular OBGYN sent me for the HSG, and when it came back abnormal, I went to see an RE and had a sono. Apparently....I only have 1 tube and the other one never fully developed.
