I've posted a few times before and so far he hates shot glasses, little 'tea and sweets' ceramic sets, m&m's he despises, wedding cookies and much more. I don't quite know what he wants to give out at our wedding....
any FH's give any of you a great wedding favor idea before?
or should I expect him to be a neanderthal when it comes to these things?...just wondering

What worked for me was I narrowed down my choices (for everything from the cake to the favors) to three options. He picked the one he liked from the 3 I narrowed down.
If you're having an issue with him, I would just say 'which of these do u like best for the favor?' If you give him one choice at a time, he will mostly likely knock all of them down.
Some ideas are lucky bamboo plant, wine bottles, chocolates, picture frames.
how about wine bottles or choc cover strawberries in cute box

We did donations with a box of chocolate...I bought the box kit from Michaels (use your coupon) it was brown with a brown ribbon and I bought lindt chocolates (on sale) and printed the donations on a gold metallic paper, rolled it up and tucked it under the ribbon...I would have your FH make suggestions then and ask for your opinion...ughh Men! lol

Expect him to be a Neanderthal. We agreed on shot glasses eventually but I REALLY wanted to do a donation with a bracelet supporting the cause.

Ha! That's so funny, I didn't realize I was in such good company with this technique! In fact, last night I think I made some headway with the color theme. It'll be revisited in a couple of weeks and then I'll have it set in stone.

Why don't you two pick a charity to donate the money you would spend on favors since he doesn't like any of your ideas.
Has he given you any suggestions on what he would like your favors to be? I know FH's can be difficult to work with sometimes.

We finally decided on wine sets!!! I think I will have an edible favor for the younger guests and the flower girl + ringbearer. Its an idea I saw on a website
I just don't know where they sell the milk like that.

We made up cookbooks. I emailed everyone invited plus put little print out directions in the save the dates we mailed out. People could go directly to a website and enter in as many recipes as they wanted. The finished product came out awesome!

We're doing full size wine bottles as favors with personalized labels.
My FH is very involved and if he doesn't like something, he does not hold back. I wish he would sometimes, but in the end, we're better off. LOL

We're doing donations too... I'm using the placecard holders as kind of a favor as well... everything we looked at seemed silly after a while... after all the weddings we have gone to we use maybe one of the favors we have receieved...we're doing Parkinson's for his grandmother, Alzheimers for my grandmother and a military foundation for his cousin.
Thats great...is that regular chocolate or some sort of fondant??? Hubby wouldn't like that because he's not into sweets. Today I received free cookie samples from The Sugar Chic and he actually liked the cookie. I think he only liked it cuz he was hungry...I thought it was very tasty and cute but I'm totally into sweets.
