Huge Breakdown...sorry a little long

So i thought i was doing pretty good with handling the stress for the last few weeks before the wedding. Not that there has been alot of craziness. A few things have been bothering me that ive been trying to hold in as best i could but today i guess i couldnt hold it in any longer!

First thing, im starting to feel like the girls in my Bridal Party are starting to get a little annoyed with my wedding talk, and i feel starting to not care!
(now you know why im on this website 24/7)

Second thing, im really upset, not mad, but really upset by the lack of people coming to the wedding! The last day for response cards is the 25th and we are at 144 have to guarentee 175 and have a billion no's! and not just the no's that you assumed all along will be no's, but no's from people i really thought would be there for me! my old roomates from college, friends i work with, even family members on FH's side that should be there, not just for me, but for the FH! and i get that some people are in bad situations at the moment but i just feel if it were the other way around i would find a way to be there for them!

Last thing that bothered me, is i wanted to send invites for the RH dinner and i asked my FMIL to send them and she basically said that she thinks it stupid and told me people who should be there should remember themselves! I told her about a story that my friend jenn told me she totally forgot about the RD! (obvi i would have reminded and she would be there)

But what set me off was, i was out of work monday and tuesday, and i came back to the email from my FMIL talking about how if someone is in the wedding party they should know better and be at the rehearsal, and then an email from my old roomate saying how she wont be able to come! so me being upset called my friend and BM i work will to vent, and i read her the email that i wrote FMIL and what she wrote back to me, and she was completely offended and now wants to say something to her!! which got me to the point that i broke down! like i hate drama! i hate confrontation! i dont wanna have this huge fued between me and my FMIL i just wanna have a nice wedding!! and the more i kept telling her to not say anything she was like well im going to! I mean seriously you know how many times i wanted to say something to her and i didnt!!

Last few weeks and i just wanna enjoy them!
and i cant!

I think that with your wedding fast approaching all the things that need to get done are weighing on you. I think maybe a break for a day to not think about the wedding at all and just enjoy yourself with friends or FH will help. I think it puts it in perspective, well it does for me at least. What also works for me is having a list and a cutoff day to get things done. That way your not rushing thru to get things done and you can enjoy yourself.

With regards to the guests the people that want to be there and can be there will be for your wedding dont let those that for one reason or another make you upset or stress you out. Your day will be beautiful regardless if how many guests you have. As long as you are with your FH thats all that matters, everything else is a bonus.

And lastly, the RD...if you think its important to send out invites to the RD do them yourself since you fmil doesn't think its necessary....just remember is her opinion and thats it.

And sometimes you just need to vent and thats why you come on here...so you can blow off some steam.

Sorry you are feeling stressed and come here and vent away. .

I agree - just send out the invites yourself or just compromise and say why don't we just send out an email

regarding guests. . sorry you are getting no's. it can feel so personal and like folks dont care I know I went through the same thing. . even with one friend i offered to pay for her hotel bc of $ stuff and then she NEVER even wrote me back. . people prob do the best they can. . but I know how hard it is!

hope things get better and you are right to avoid more drama with FMIL. . . just breathe, move around it. .

Hang in there!!! I say take this weekend (it's suppose to be beautiful) turn off your phone and forget about the wedding. I'm sure you have a ton to do, but even if it's just a day take and it and don't worry about anything.

At the end of the day you are marrying the man of your dreams. Don't worry if FMIL won't send invites out to the rehearsal. Send an evite instead or something.

It will all be okay

awwww sorry this is happening to you. Unfortunately, it takes wedding to see family and friends true side but nonetheless, this day is about you and your FH and don't let little things like this bother you too much.

If you're not meeting you're min...talk to your RH and see if they can work with you on anything else.

As far as your RD invites....send them...its just courtesy. One thing I learned from planning is not to ask too many suggestions from others b/c its going to drive you nuts.

We all in the same boat, post any doubts and trust me, you'll get sincere answers...look up the ettiquette and just do it. And if anyone wants to start drama...end it immediately and don't let it fester. this is about you not them.

Hope it works out and enjoy the weeks coming to your big day

And forget about what your FMIL thinks, send and RD invitation...even if its an evite. It's your wedding, do what you want.
