Huge problem!

Re: Huge problem!

I don't really have any advice, I just wanted to wish you luck.

Did you book your hall before the church? Because if you didn't, I'm surprised that no one mentioned to you beforehand that nothing goes on in the church during the Easter Triduum weekend.

Is changing dates to another Friday possible?

I had a similar problem with my church. For about three months I told everyone that we were planning to get married on August 15, 2009. Everyone said no problem (including one of the priests doing my wedding and he's one of the 'big wigs' in the Diocese). Nobody told me it was a Holy Day of Obligation.

Finally we just decided to change the date and once we did that, everything is falling into place with all the other vendors.

Good luck

JT can marry you there. One of the BMs is an ordained minister. I dont know if its extra or not, but I would ask. I know for a fact they can marry you there though.

Yea i dont think any church will marry you on Good Friday. Also, I dont know if you or any of your guests are Catholic but keep in mind Catholics cant eat meat on Friday so take that into consideration when planning your menu.

I was going to suggest getting a priest to perform at JT but again I dont know if they will do it bc of Good Friday. Is JT willing to change your date?
