My mother just called to tell me that my Grandfather’s doctor said he may die in the next week or two. Not to sound mean or selfish but was it really necessary to tell me this now, with the wedding in two weeks?? There is nothing I can do except stress and worry even more then I already am.. If this was the first time I got this call OK I would understand but it happens constantly. Every time he sneezes they take him to the hospital and call us to tell us he is dying. He has been terminal for over two years and every other week is a new crisis where they tell me to get ready because he is on his deathbed.

Re: Prays – Vent - Hugs I don’t know what to call it..
I am so sorry...All I can say is that I was told this same thing about my grandmother a few months before my wedding (the one to two weeks thing) and she is still here today (like 5 months later). I know how hard it is to have a grandparent in that limbo stage, knowing that they will pass soon but that they are still alive (my grandma can't speak or recognize any of us) So all I can really offer is

Though it may seem like a lot now, if he does die before the wedding I think you might never forgive yourself if you didn't call/visit one last time. I don't know his situation, but when we got that call about my aunt I spent as much time as I could with her before she passed.

I completely agree with you. Please don't think I am some selfish Biatch that only cares about my wedding at a time like this. My issue is not with his illness but with the way that certain members of my family are handling it. They are very selfish and extremely overdramatic. I just can't take all the drama anymore. It is so un-nessacary, I just want him to be at peace. They are making his last days hell for all of us including him.

Re: Hugs
I hear you, my grandfather has been in a hospice for years. Hang in there.
