Today is the 4 year anniversary of my Mom's passing away. I thought is was supposed to get better with time but I'm have a very difficult time getting through today. Hugs needed please!

FH's mom passed away over 20 years ago and it still is very hard for him to get through that day.

i dont know if this will help or not... but my mom passed 10 years ago....

and just a couple months ago i found myself crying almost as if it were yesterday. i was talking with fh and we came up with.... that it makes sense ...since this is the year i am getting married...that it brings up feelings of wanting them there for such a special moment in your life.

it does get easier with time...but i think it is normal when there are major life changes such as a marriage or baby..that it will bring up feelings of sadness that can seem overwhelming at times.

People tell you it gets better with time, but thats not always the case - plus I think it puts a lot of pressure on the mourner when it takes longer for them to recover from a loss....
